Welcome to My Blog

Welcome to my blog. Clouds fascinate me. As a child I would stare at them making up stories to go with the different shapes they formed. I have always loved to write. For years I watched my grandmother peck away at her typewriter keys while writing a book. Gram was my first critique partner. Sadly, Gram did not finish her book, but she had instilled the desire to write in me. I knew I wanted to write books.

Then living life filled my days and well into many nights. There was college, marriage, jobs, businesses, and raising four kids. Writing stayed only a dream. Finally, that dream has become reality. My first two books will be published this month. All these past and ongoing life experiences continue to inspire me to write stories, some true, some fictional and all from my heart.

The origins of Oscar come from me rescuing a young bird years ago. Washed Out to Sea began as a birthday story for one of my grandsons. I have been enchanted by Beluga whales since becoming a docent at our local aquarium. I invite you along on my writing journey.
